New musical break for Adele. After choosing to put her musical career aside at the end of 2016 following her American tour and the immense success of her third album entitled « 25 », the British singer once again announced that she wanted to take a break from music, and this from the end of 2024.
The 36-year-old artist revealed during an interview with German channel ZDF that she was going to take a “big break” at the end of her residency in Las Vegas entitled “Weekends with Adele” which began in 2022 and which must end on November 23.“My tank is pretty empty after being on stage every weekend in Las Vegas. I have no plans for new music, absolutely none. […] I want to take a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative activities for a little while,” she said.
Before giving her last concerts in Las Vegas (Nevada), she will spend the summer in Munich where she will perform no less than ten concerts, two concerts per week for five weeks, in a specially built open-air stadium for this purpose. These will be Adele’s first continental European dates since 2016.
Since the launch of her residency in Las Vegas, “Weekends With Adele” has been widely acclaimed by the public and critics, notably giving rise to numerous videos that have gone viral thanks to her interactions with her fans.
