The rapper now called « Ye » accuses the clothing company with which he collaborates for his brand Yeezy, of appropriating his designs, without his consent, reports this Thursday. It was on Instagram that the American singer spilled his gall.
He claims that the brand would have held meetings about him “without him being present” and that she would have plagiarized her Yeezy Gap engineered by Balenciaga creations to make t-shirts from her classic collection.
On Wednesday he posted an exchange he had with someone accusing GAP of copying the designs, with a caption implying that GAP canceled a photo-shoot with the artist. “They canceled the photo shoot with my children in Japan without my knowing it,” laments the artist.
Kanye West launched a partnership with GAP in 2020. According to TMZ, Kanye’s Yeezy GAP line has been hugely successful so far, with impressive sales both online and in-store. However, it seems the relationship has frayed, with Ye not having as much voice in business operations as he might have liked.
